History of RainLily
In November 2000, the Association set up RainLily, Hong Kong's first one-stop crisis center for the protection of sexual violence victims.RainLily is a bright blossoming flower after rain which symbolize the vitality of victims who still hold a positive attitude towards life though they have gone through such unpleasant incidents.
RainLily offers the victims one-stop service around the clock, aiming to minimize victims'second-trauma when recalling such unpleasant experience.? Working with professionals from other discipline, RainLily's service includes pregnancy prevention, screening and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, forensic medical examination, psychological support and reporting to the police.RainLily, having served over 1,000 victimized women so far, is well-experienced in the provision of professional service.
RainLily won the Award of Sharp Insight (±Ó¾UIJ¨¤¼ú) in the non-thematic category in the 2007 Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare; organized by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 2007.

We are aware that fragmented services provided by different professionals may have a negative impact on clients. We advocate for multi-disciplinary collaboration to simplify procedures, minimize the need for victims to repeat their stories and to enhance intervention effectiveness.
Respect for Victims'Self-determination
We respect victims' right to self-determination. We provide information and space to facilitate their decision-marking.
Empowerment through Trust and Self-condfidence
We appreciate the fact that victims' esteem may be deeply harmed by sexual violence, and they may have lost trust in other people. We help victims to rebuild trust and self-confidence through our caring and reliable service.
